I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing psychotherapy primarily to individuals ages 12 and older. As an LCSW, I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and have completed extensive clinical training and supervised experience. I am licensed to practice in California, New Jersey, and the state of Washington. My goal is to offer a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where you can explore your behaviors, thoughts, and feelings in depth. Many clients seek therapy to better manage anxiety, improve mood, and enhance relationships—and I am here to guide that process with care and respect.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the modern psychoanalytic tradition, a form of depth therapy that focuses on understanding the underlying causes of emotional distress. In non-clinical terms, modern psychoanalysis involves taking time to reflect on your inner world—your thoughts, feelings, past and current experiences—to discover how they influence your life and relationships. This approach can help you break free from unwanted or self-defeating patterns and make room for growth, healing, and fulfillment. I participate in ongoing training in depth therapy and modern psychoanalysis to stay connected with evolving practices and to provide the best care to those with whom I work.
Through our work together, you will have the opportunity to develop insight into your history and your current interpersonal patterns. By coming to know yourself more fully, you’ll be better equipped to create lasting change and live a more meaningful life. Whether you’re seeking support for specific concerns or are interested in long-term personal development, I tailor treatment to your individual goals and needs.
In-person therapy offers unique benefits that can be especially valuable in today’s world, where technology is increasingly embedded in nearly every aspect of our daily lives. Meeting in person allows for a richer, more fully felt connection between therapist and patient—one that includes subtle nonverbal cues like body language, tone of voice, and shared presence, which can deepen the therapeutic relationship and enhance emotional attunement. Being physically present in a dedicated space can also help you step away from the distractions of screens and routines, creating a clearer boundary for reflection and healing. As our reliance on digital communication grows, the opportunity to engage in genuine, human-to-human connection in a quiet, private setting becomes not only refreshing but deeply therapeutic in itself.
