I offer in-person sessions in my downtown Menlo Park office.
I specialize in treating adult women who are motivated and courageously committed to achieving personal growth and well-being by engaging in the therapeutic process.
Many of my clients are seeking support, direction and clarity as they transition through life’s difficult phases.
My theoretic orientation is person-centered and strength-based. My approach is warm, interactive, collaborative, and supportive.
I treat a wide array of issues that many women experience as they transition through life’s difficult phases. Issues treated include; relationship dissatisfaction, overwhelm, worry, sadness, perfectionism, grief and loss, betrayal, self-doubt, men’s concerns, communication skills, divorce, aging, empty nest, menopause, career change, retirement, family of origin dysfunction, health care provider support, self-esteem, cultural identity, indecision, personal growth and transformation, anxiety, getting “unstuck”, reinventing self and starting over.
I value in-person therapy because it creates a dedicated space where the client can step away from the demands of their day and focus fully on themselves. When the client is in the room, they don’t have to balance distractions, worry about interruptions, or split their attention—they can simply be present and give themselves the time and space they deserve.
For many clients, being in a private office also offers a stronger sense of privacy and safety. The client doesn’t have to think about whether someone at home or work might overhear them, which can make it easier to speak more openly and honestly. That sense of confidentiality and separation from their everyday environment often helps the client feel more at ease as they begin to explore what’s going on.
My experience is that having this kind of consistent, contained space can make it easier for the client to slow down, reflect, and do deeper work together. It allows the focus to stay on what matters most to the client, in a setting designed to support their growth and healing.
